“Les nouvelles vanités” is a brand new three-track EP by Malaise Vagal a young French medical student named Myriam Haj Brahim. Bodies (Sound+Matter) is more than excited to be dropping EP as both a digital download and on a limited run of 10” lathe cut records. This special release is a proof that three tracks are more than enough for Malaise Vagal to tell you a story, or rather take you on a trip within her unique blend of atmospheric and club sound. Besides two exclusive tracks, “Les nouvelles vanités” comes with a remix by Adventures Sportives. This rework is a meaner and harsher take on the original. The BPM is violently sped up, the synths are clipping hard and the bass lines are pushed to their limits. This gives the track a whole new vibe and intensity, yet its original menacing melancholia is carefully preserved.
